Luscombe Silvaire Corporation, maker of the classic Series 8 airplanes, is headquartered at Flabob. All the sturdy, good-flying qualities which have made the Luscombe a favorite for seventy years are still there; and now the Luscombe is available as a Light Sport Aircraft, which may be flown (in most circumstances) without a current medical certificate. 2008 saw the debut of the Phantom II, a revival of the radial-engined Luscombe Phantom which started the whole line.
