This intergenerational introduction to aviation is now suspended because its venue has closed. Twice each summer the Wathen Center held two or more intergenerational Elderhostels for grandchildren and grandparents. The curriculum was the same as the Air Academies, and faculty were selected from the Air Academy faculty. Students included upper elementary, middle and high school students, and their grandparents, and was capped with a glider ride. The Wathen Center will reactivate this program when a suitable permanent location is found.
